PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that a Regular Meeting of the Synod of The International Atlantic Province – the Second Province of The Episcopal Church – will be held by zoom on Thursday, September 9, 2021, beginning at 8:30 (am) Eastern Daylight Time/12:30 GMT.
All Bishops, Deputies, and Alternate Deputies should register on the Province II website: https://www.province2.org/synod-2021-registration.html by a week before the opening of Synod. Registration will allow the Province to send attendees Zoom sign-on information and, where applicable, voting credentials. The same webpage will give you opportunities to pre-file for submission of proposed resolutions and for pre-filing for nominations from the floor for Synod consideration. Date: April 26, 2021 Canon Paul Ambos, Secretary Please note: Although Synod has been postponed, we are holding budget workshops now as many dioceses are already preparing their budgets. We encourage all diocesan officials responsible for diocesan budgets, as well as anyone who is interested, to participate in one or more budget workshops to ask any questions. Provincial Council intends to have a follow up budget workshop closer to Synod to provide an explanation of any budget revisions that have been made as a result of the preliminary workshops. Hopefully, this will provide increased transparency and also allow for a more streamlined budget discussion during the official Synod meeting. |
